Philippe Rizzo scored a silver on high bar and LAUREN MITCHELL WON BEAM!!! Over Li ShanShan no less!

Congratulations, Lauren! We're so proud!



In fact, I'm thrilled for the whole Aussie trio - they all medalled!

    I was so happy when I woke up this morning and saw she won! She always seems to win silvers (Massilia, Stuttgart 2007 and 2008, Beijing Test Event) and now finally she has a gold of her own....

    The judges replay video of Lauren's beam is available on the FIG website. Fairly solid with a few wobbles and at least one broken connection.

    i personally thought laurens B score of 8.65 was too low. She had some minor wobbles and missed connections but i think around an 8.85 would have been more accurate.
