And we also now know what Team BEEEF will be up to.

The team will travel to London and arrive the day prior to the women's qualifications. The team will have a full set of tickets to all women's sessions at the 2009 Artistic World Championships. During the men's competition days, the team will train at the Rushmoor Gymnastics Club in London ahead of taking part in the Rushmoor Rose Bowl Classic which will take place on Saturday 24th October, following the conclusion of the World Championships.

The Rushmoor Rose Bowl Classic will feature both qualifications and apparatus finals.

Following the Rushmoor Rose Bowl Classic, the team will then travel to Paris and compete in the Combs de la Ville International.

The 5 girlies pictured above will compete at the Rose Bowl Classic as 'Team Australia'; Nikki Chung, Ashley Cooney, Natalia Joura, Georgia Simpson and Rachel Collister will be 'Team Western Australia'.

Or as I'd like to call them, 'WAIS + 1".

  1. Not a big fan of those leotards - relace the pink with green and they would be good. Australia should be represented in oz colours!!

  2. To their credit - GA listed info on Worlds in their News section today - including the fact it was being covered by Foxtel.

Patriotism aside, the pink is pretty.

  3. I went to the GA site first and then hopped quickly to the WWGym forum. I hadn't initially noticed the Foxtel information at GA so I'm not not-crediting them as a spite thing!

  4. Yeah the pink is ok I guess - I suppose we are becoming known in the gym world for our pink leos!!

  5. WELL DONE, GA! That is a fantastic page. I particularly like that you mention Luke being a team member that can't compete -- he deserves the recognition of making the team. And Foxsports...well, what can I say but SQUEEE!!!

  6. Wow, I immediately saw the new leos as a blush red & black, not a pink. To me it's really a pinky red. *L*

I like them, although I have to agree that an emerald green with the black would have been particularly striking. I wouldn't be surprised if there's at least one other new leo if someone makes finals.

  7. Lord, I guess its go you big pink fire engine. none too impressed. but it could be worse!

  8. I don't mind the colour although i do love to see the green and gold. The design of the leos looks the same as the Olympic design just the colours have changed

  9. It's extremely eye-catching, though I'm yet to decide if it's in a good way or a bad way!

Part of me feels like Peggy's let the girls go with a brash, bold colour combination to encourage a feeling of boldness/fearlessness within them and look-at-me attitude. As if, "these colours draw attention to me and make me stand out, so now I'll let my gymnastics do the attention some justice!"

Black and pink... it's like a goth bad-ass Barbie!

  10. I am surprised Shona is competing vault. I wonder what her 2 vaults will be.

  11. I really do not like the leotards, Flames are soooo tacky weather its pink or green!!

I do like the pinky/red colour though. I think that colour would look good on an entirely different design, the bejing qualifying leo's were nice.

  14. Rumour has it that Shona's 2 vaults are a Yurchenko full and a RO 1/2 on piked front off.

  15. A yurchenko full? Surely that can't be right? I thought someone said she was doing consistent doubles? I really don't think she would try for the vault final with a yurchenko full only, it doesn't make sense at all.

  16. shona's two vaults are yurchenko double twist and roundoff 1/2, pike 1/2.
