Girlie Edition

I'm going radio silent for a few hours so feast your eyes on these li'l nuggets of goodness:

Aussies in purple and black GK leos, lauren has a fringe! big yurchenko timers

Larissa (AUS) beautiful lines and handstands on bars, good turns and releases, overrotated double front dis. but generally good!

Lauren (AUS) good jaeger and geinger. toe on full on top of the bar but slight arm bend, nice toe on 1/2 into double front dis.

Hurrah for fringes being a dead giveaway!

See you back later this afternoon (Melbourne time). Hopefully more exciting news and media bits will have filtered through.
Y'all be good now, y'hear?

ETA: Hurrah hurrah hurrah hurrah hurrah hurrah! GA have WAG photos up!

More here.

  1. Larrissa is doing a double front dismount? That's interesting, considering that she's been doing a full-in for a while.

  3. Are you sure? It looks like a full-in or half-in-half-out to me. But I guess it doesn't really matter since they're all the same value (D).

  4. I hope Lauren has indeed added a gienger, and changed the composition of her routine.

I have never understood why her routine includes skills at the start that make her tired, add no DV/CR, and give her lots of execution deductions, when there are easier ways to attain equal DV. It seems like such a blatant oversight.

For ages she has been doing the stalder and the toe-on on the low bar then the toe shoot to high bar, presumably just to add an 8th skill, since all her others are of higher value.

She always has tons of deductions for bent arms and dead hang on those first couple of skills so maybe now she can just start on the high bar by jumping and doing kchs 1/2 or a vault over the low bar. The gienger will be a good 8th skill and she won't need that early part on the low bar anymore.

  10. what was so bad about the fringe discussion?

  11. Guys, c'mon... it's trivial. I didn't want it carrying on. I remarked upon it in the post because it actually did help me identify Lauren in the blurry photo, but through my prior knowledge of her having a fringe. I didn't mean for it to be tied up with the Twitter observation.

But let's face it- there are slightly bigger things to focus on in the scheme of a World Championships!

  12. Wow it's like Georgia and Shona don't even exist.
Weren't they our top all arounders at Beijing? How quickly we forget...of choose to forget!

  13. do this blog a favour and ignore that troll! Anyone can see that is a ridiculous comment to make! I for one am very interested to know what Georgia's difficulty values will be, but there has not been much info from Waverley so it's anybody's guess, and there's little sense in baseless speculation.
