The organising committee and club are extremely friendly and happy to have the Australian Team taking part in their competition again. Holly Dykes [sic] name appears in the program from 2004, which was a great find by the girls when they were reading through it.
Team- 1st: Australia 2nd: Canada 3rd: Dijon
All-Around- 3rd: Britt 4th: Emily
Merci à Gymnet.org pour les photos et les résultats!
GA have a short report here.
We started competition on floor, Britt going up first - she did a great routine, which ranked her 3rd, Emma Collister was up next, however they played Emily's music by mistake.
Hollie is spelt with an "ie" Emily and Emma/or rachael dont look happy in the photo.
ReplyDeleteI can never tell the difference beetween the collister twins
yay!!!
ReplyDeletego you aussie girls! we're so proud of you all!
Emily never looks happy in photos!
ReplyDeleteSuch a shame, can we send her for smile classes soon?
Nic: [sic] means Mez knows it's a mistake, but that's how her original source spelt it :) Go aussies!
ReplyDeleteI added the [sic] after Nic's comment; the mistake on Hollie's name and the lack of apostrophe were in the original piece as it appeared on the HPC site.
ReplyDeleteYay! Go girls!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy they are getting this sort of experience. It's fantastic!
I would looooooove to see some vids! (hint, hint...)
:)
Hollie's name fixed - too little time, too much to do, too much of a rush. Thanks
ReplyDeleteIt's Emma - Rachel is not in Paris as far as i know
ReplyDeleteSmile - I do not care what you say...impressions are everything. Please don't appear sour, you represent Australia and we are proud to have you doing your best but for goodness sakes! A smile is free.
ReplyDeletejust because they are not smiling in the pic doesn't mean that they are not happy, perhaps they were taken off guard and weren't smiling at that particular moment!
ReplyDeleteMeh but Emily Little never smiles.
ReplyDeleteNEVER.
Shame too, cos I bet people would take a shine to her a lot more if she did.
She never smiles in photos. Or on the podium. Other times she laughs and smiles like every one else and has a great sense of humour. It would be great if everyone would just get over it! Can't we (fans of this sport) just support our athletes for what they bring to the sport. Love and enjoy them exactly how they are, and how they are not?
ReplyDeletejust cause emily doesn't smile doesn't mean she is grumpy all the time. you don't have to smile all the time!
ReplyDeleteShe ALWAYS looks grunpy. I've noticed that for a while now. I haven't seen her smile in 1 photo!!! She should take a leaf out of Lauren's book - she's always looking happy and bubbly. Go Lauren!!!
ReplyDeleteemily doesn't smile cause she says she doesn't look good. jeez stop bagging emily. she is an awesome gymnast and just because she doesn't smile wont make her any less good!
