ReplyDeleteBeth Tweddle's moving her way up the trending topic ladder, woohoo for gymnastics!
Weren't the FX scores 14.650 for Beth and 14.550 for Lauren?
ReplyDeleteyes....
ReplyDeleteI fixed 'em, sorreh. Someone had posted them wrong and I read it off there.
ReplyDeleteConsider them amended!
Now, let's wait for the medal ceremony and listen for the roof lifting off at O2 as Beth and Loz get their medals!
Lauren rocks. Personally, I think she should have won both of those finals, but I'm sure she'll be quite chuffed with those silver medals!
ReplyDeleteI agree, the consensus online is that she should have won both finals, especially beam over Deng Lin Lin who should not have been awarded the CV she got.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Lauren and Australian gymnastics in general! What a professional performer! So exciting to watch!
ReplyDeletePS: Thanks for the updates as always!
PS: I agree...Lauren could have/should have won both finals!
ReplyDeleteOMG im so happy for Lauren, im so happy my Aussie gym friends are so happy...lol GO LAUREN!
ReplyDeleteShe sure followed through with her earlier comment and showed everyone what she can do in the EF.
ReplyDeleteComing into these world's I thought a BB medal was the realistic medal chance with a FX being on the cards with some help from others falling. Glad I was wrong. Such amazing compsure from Lauren this whole comp. She was one of the few gymnasts who didn't fall on anything, to think she's become the rock after nerves in Beijing. Two silver medals now makes her Australia's most decorated gymnast ever, though it could've easily have been two golds and a bronze.
With Tweddle possibly retiring Australia is looking a whole lot better for CWG team gold next year.
Go Lauren! Amazing job! I agree, she's been such a rock at these championships, I'm so proud of her.
ReplyDeleteShe and |Beth were so cute, weren't they? - nattering all through the medal ceremony! Bless 'em!
