Delhi 2010: Team Australia (MAG)

A hearty congratulations to the following gymnasts who have been named to Australia's Commonwealth Games men's team:

* Phil Rizzo
* Prashanth Sellathurai
* Sam Offord
* Thomas Pichler
* Josh Jefferis

This marks the 3rd Games for Rizzo, and the second for Offord, Sellathurai and Jefferis.

The women's team is slated for announcement today (Monday 19th) though I have no idea what time. I'm only around until 2:45 so if you don't see an update before then... the news has been broken and I wasn't around to hear it.

  1. Am I hallucinating that Rizzo was injured just a little while back and was in doubt? Good news if he has come through ok.

  3. Anyone know how they announce the team to the girls? Do they get a phone call, or do they just have to look it up online?

  8. So when are they planning on announcing the WAG COM Games Team? Is there any documentation that says how and when? And what about the squads and the 12 person Worlds camp?

  9. The announcement is supposed to be today. 12 member Worlds Squad should also be announced at the same time.
    This is going by the Training Camp Calendar that is listed under Technical Information on the GA website

  10. Do we know what time today and how?

  11. Anon 9:14, announcements for previous teams (most recently Beijing and PacRim) have been done after a squad training camp and done in front of all attendees.

    I am unsure how this one will pan out seeing as there wasn't a camp this weekend. Possibly a phone call to each successful team member, then a public listing of the team?
