  5. GA says Shona has retired and pulled out of CWG/Worlds stuff. Just lost a huge team asset thanks to crooked selection procedures. Way to go GA!

  6. HAHA Congrats Shona. Thankyou for giving GA a huge f*** you.

We did really need her for worlds though, now we are going to be in big trouble on vault and bars.

  7. It's a bit disappointing that she didn't follow through with her commitment to the team for this year but at the same time if Gymnastics Australia is going to show bis in the selections then there isn't really an incentive for athletes to be involved.

  8. i can't say i'm surprised. when she didnt make cwg i assume she decided to go to stanford on time. She must have wanted to go to cwg she has already been to two worlds. Congratulations shona for everything you have achieved in elite gymnastics enjoy stanford.

  16. I have it on very good authority from one of the gym mums at Waverly that Shona told her squad and some of the other mums this morning that she had decided that since she is not needed for the Commonwealth Games Team, she would start Stanford on time instead of starting 5 weeks late that she had planned to do. Someone asked her about 2012 Olympics and she said it was still an option.

  17. I think CWG will be 5-4-3 in quals and finals, thats the way it usually is. I thought in the past worlds was 6-5-4 in quals and 6-3-3 in finals and I assume it would be the same this year.

  18. Excuse my ignorance, but does 5 4 3 mean 5 on the team, 4 compete each apparatus, 3 scores to count?

  19. No need to excuse your ignorance - that is correct. If you don't ask you don't learn
