It is edging ever closer to the hour we know our men and women bound for China.
Nominative teams* have been announced today, while on Wednesday the news out of team WAG was an update of their injury petition list for team trial #2 to: Godwin, Brown, Miller and Mitchell.
* Not official, not confirmed. Can be changed up to 24 hours before competition begins.
The men's team is looking to be announced Monday (15th) after their trial this weekend. It's great to see some of the guys who had to step down before Glasgow battle for a place once more!
It is NANNING not NANJING
ReplyDeleteYes, you are correct. A genuine mistake thanks to seeing so much about the Youth Olympics recently. I will amend my post.
ReplyDeleteAny reports on how Emily Little is going on her return?
ReplyDeletecrap
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree it's really confusing. We could have a city named Nelbourne just to confuse people.
ReplyDeleteConsidering Little was not in the nominative entries at all and they were due after the first trial, I wouldn't hold my breath!
ReplyDeleteI know blah blah blah nominative entries are not final. But fact is, they tend to be pretty damn spot on and it takes extra paperwork to add new athletes.
Looking closely at the list, it appears right now Peggy has Munteanu flagged as alternate. The alternate is last on the list for every country. If the selection committee is stupid enough to compete Vivian over Munteanu who can actually provide us with a bar routine about the same as Vivian's, a beam set worth 5.8 and a vault that will score over 1.0 higher than Vivian, then fuck that.
Or Sydbey
ReplyDeletewell it is pretty dumb to only have 1 letter different
ReplyDeleteAnon 6:20pm - lol, don't hold back!!
ReplyDeletebtw, completely agree with your selection thoughts :)
ReplyDeleteIt's probably completely different in Chinese. Remember they have a completely different alphabet.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I prefer Shitney and Melbitch.
ReplyDeletethey probably have different tones too
