Just a little intra-Commonwealth shoutout.
Congratulations to the members of New Zealand's just-announced women's World Championships team!
Holly Moon
Briana Mitchell
Jordan Rae
Lani Hohepa
Good luck in Rotterdam, ladies!
(If I were a judge, I'd give 'em bonus points for good senses of humour...)
ETA: These four girls have also been named as their country's Commonwealth Games team.
Holly Moon pulled out the most amazing triple spin I have ever, ever seen performed on floor in that team competition. She deserves it all!
ReplyDeleteVery early to be naming a Worlds team?
ReplyDeleteI dont think NZL has many other girls to pick from...So I guess they announce it earlier to give the girls time to taper towards worlds.
ReplyDeleteI wish that guy wouldn't speak all the way through the 'funny' beam routine.
ReplyDeleteWhat an embarassment for NZL Gymnastics, I think it is really stupid!
ReplyDeleteto anon 5:41pm 11/6/10 -- I feel bad for you that you don't appear to have a sense of humour, you're life must be soooo boring.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I think it's hilarious to see an elite gymnast be able to have a laugh at themselves, particularly as most non-gymnast fans of the sport find some of the dance moves on beam a bit strange!

this is so 'choice'! i love it, so good to see that a gymnast can mock gymnastics and possibly to some extent herself! so funny props to holly moon...personality goes so far!
