Unfortunately, I am unable to attend this weekend's Victorian Gymnastics Championships. I was greatly looking forward to watching the artistic action from the State Netball and Hockey Centre but, sadly, something something something best laid plans.
If you are attending the event, I would love to hear from you! Please forward any photos, videos, reports or other nuggets you'd like the rest of the gymnastics public to know about to ozgymblog@gmail.com
You will be credited.
you never go to any competitions these days! :|
ReplyDeleteI am sure Mez has a life outside this blog. I think she gets to competitions when she can but that cannot always happen. By the sounds of it Mez wanted to go to Vic champs but can 't
ReplyDeleteTouchy much? I don't think it was a critisism!
ReplyDeleteOh bummer for you. I am going, in fact I am volunteer floor managing the WAG section all of Sunday/ some of Monday. Will try and get some good pics for you.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I love this blog but have never commmented til now. Keep up the great work Mez!
Catherine
I am going, I will try and get some vids. Anybody have any requests? There are a lot of lovely gymnasts on show, I hardly know where to focus my attention!
ReplyDeleteNSW States are this weekend too. Is anyone going there?
ReplyDeleteCan you try and get some vids/pics of Clare O'Donnell from MLC? She has an awesome bar routine! And her floor choreography is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI heard there were just five seniors at podium training today..
ReplyDeleteShona
Georgia B
Emma D
Ashleigh
Georgia W
I guess there are no surprises in that as we know that Britt, Fiona and Zoe are all out for this comp.
Who else were we expecting?
Being a non-driver is often a factor in why I can't get to competitions (because I can't get home from them) but it wasn't in this particular case.
ReplyDeleteNade, I would love to see anything of Britt G's new bars (seeing as I was always seeing that Weiler kip in training) and anything of the PacRim girlies.
I'm pretty sure podium training was optional, if the girls wnated extra training time.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to this one!
ReplyDeleteMLC girls won team competitions at WG National Level 8, 9 and 10 last night and looked really good and will probably rate pretty highly in Level 7 this morning. Its a shame there isn't more teams at National 7-10, especially as only two sores required to count at Nat 9-10.
ReplyDeleteanon 7:32pm, looks like it's just you and me at NSW states.
ReplyDeleteSeems like Victoria is more important
sigh
If any NSW people could get Emma Nedov and Mary-Anne's routines that would be awesome! I am dying to see how they are looking before nationals, especially since Mary-Anne has seemingly recovered so well.
ReplyDeleteI heard Emma Nedov has the flu. Hope she can still compete today.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see beam from Angela D (Waverley) and Alex E (HPC)
ReplyDeleteThe Singaporian Girls are great! they were in my sessionl Definatly keep an eye on the ones in the N7 section
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ze1xlFY7CqA&playnext_from=TL&videos=GSGhloykpTM&feature=sub thanks to chachakid its Mary Anne Monockton UB from NSW STATE
ReplyDeleteNice Bars...Apart from the falls, but I can really see it going somewhere. Any other videos, pics, tid bits From NSW?
ReplyDeleteFantastic day of gymnastics today. Lots of promising level IDP 3's from Balance, MLC, WAGC and CYC. Then MLC level 7 team. Well Done! Then fantastic to watch the Olympians returning to the competition floor. Looking fitter and stronger than trial 2! Can't wait to watch the IDP 5, 6 and 8's tomorrow. Well done coaches, gymnasts, parents and the important judges.
ReplyDeleteboth Emma and Ashleigh did not compete today at NSW. Emma has a cold/flu Ashleigh has done her elbow. Mez did solid routeen and bars were looking good for day 1.
ReplyDeleteNSW IDP8 are very strong.
