Thanks to all those who sent birthday wishes! You unquestionably rock (what didn't rock was the rubbish weather)!
There is now an official website up for the Acapulco event that was mentioned during the World Championships. It's this weekend! Note that Emily Little is listed to compete, not Lauren Mitchell.
Speaking of Lauren, VISA have uploaded a lovely-looking new promotional feature on Lauren. Hope that gold filter is a sign of things to come!

I guess Lauren isn't completely recovered from her injury. Emily has had plenty of competition lately is I think she would be better off at home upgrading.
That is great that you think that, but perhaps her coaches know her better and what is best for Emily and her preparation for the Olympics. Why do you, the "sit-on-your-bum-expert" have to second guess every move the elite coaches make? Perhaps if you attended some of the elite coaches clinics and learned about how to prepare, maintain & train an elite gymnast, then you would not have to spout off senseless drivel. Stick to what you know and support these girls; they are representing Australia.
And what are you, the opinion police?
Good luck Emily - You'll do great!
I'm sure any opinions stated here will be respected and given due consideration if they are based on most expert knowledge and highly intelligent reasoning!!
Good Luck Emily - go out there and rock it!!
people like you ruin my pleasure in reading this blog. thanks.
Come on guys, there is no need to speak like that. It's just messages with differing opinions.
Lauren is an ambassadore for the Olympic Challenge:

anon 9:51 can you please let people give their opinions without shooting them down. Anon 8:48 didn't seem like they were being that critical. I can understand people getting upset when gymnasts are being too heavily criticized but your comment was uncalled for.
I think this is a great opportunity for Emily and I am sure she will do herself proud. Shame about Lauren she must still be injured, I am sure she will disappointed as she said in that interview at worlds that she was really looking forward to going to Mexico.
I tend to agree with anon 8:48.I think Emily would benefit from staying at home and perhaps working on upgrading but it is a sad fact that we don't really have any other AA girls that can replace Lauren.A bit of a worry.
(girls that are not fit at the moment)Hope Lauren's injury is not to bad,we NEED her.
Who said Lauren was injured? She might have sponsorship obligations. Or some other reason.
Yes we do need Lauren!
Hopefully she just has personal stuff
I love this interview
Sorry, yes you may be correct, just asumed injury as I thought someone mentioned she was.Wrong to asume!
She did hurt her ankles at worlds I thought she would need some rest time. Maybe not, might be sponsorship.
Camp starts Sunday. Wonder if she'll be there
Camp starts on Wednesday.
It looks like Emily placed 4th AA in Mexico, very strange scores? They seem very high? Cant get any other info.
