You know, this year could be the year of luck for us. It seems that the strong majority of Olympic contenders are coming off their injuries at the right time, and are attending this camp. If Sims/Lorenzin/Donald/Wurth/Bonora/Joura/Wheeler are finally right to go by nationals, the competition for spots will be much better for it. After all, add Miller/Mitchell/Little/Brown/Monckton/Brennan/Chung/Simpson and that is a fairly healthy pool to choose from.

Why can't us ozzies have a WOGA too?

Invitational comps take alot of work and there are very few programs that run them. MLC used to include international levels in their competition but didn't last year and even the HPC comp last year was low on numbers. To run a competition like woga you would want to have commitment from interstate competitors to attend to make it worthwhile. I'm not sure what happens elsewhere to Melbourne

GymMum, while it seems very early days yet, US college gymnastics and circus work are two excellent and SUPER FUN avenues to explore if a gymnast misses the Olympics. Heck, some would say performing in those environments is even better than an Olympics!

And, as someone else said, competitions like the American Cup, Pacific Rim., CommGames and World Cups get a televised audience and cheering spectators, just like the Olys do. There's a lot out there, you just have to start looking!
