Sounds exciting but not sure about their numbers. Costs for athletes and officials is ENORMOUS. Talk of catering charges of $60 per day will make this the most expensive nationals for gymnasts, coaches, judges etc ever.
Mentioning catering costs to take part, surely these are State Team imposed costs in which programs could have input towards contributing some ideas for alternative cheaper options.
Putting GA and buzz in the same sentence is an oxymoron. GA don't know the first thing about creating buzz. Most gymnasts probably don't even know when nationals is on, let alone the general public.
Catering costs are not an option for states. GA has created an 'all inclusive" entry including $60 per day food. States will not have an option. The cost looks hidden from the athletes but it won't be hidden for the judges and coaches who will need to fund their own trips. Between expensive Sydney accommodation and inflated food costs, will anyone be able to afford to go?
Here's an idea anon at 10.48 - instead of whinging why don't you get involved and start telling people about it - I know heaps of people who already know about Nationals. For once GA are taking an initiative and trying to create a great event and already the doom and gloomers are out there. Be positive - we might be surprised!

Anon at 10.48 is the same fool that was critical of Asleigh's page 3 photo. The moron could just have easily said ain't it great to have our sport on P3

How exciting Japan will be at Nationals in Sydney. Will they bring their Olympic hopefuls?
