Get Well Soon, Georgia!

All the very best to Georgia Simpson on the road to recovery.

Feel free to leave any messages and wishes on this post. I found some very thoughtful tweets tonight from observers and fans (click for larger):

eta: Georgia's family have given us an update, left here in the comments:

Thank you to all who have posted " get well wishes" to Georgia. She has had surgery to correct a dislocated foot. She is resting and in very good hands. Two beautiful Angels by her side, Martine her coach, who has not left her side and is sleeping in a roll out bed! And her sister, Angel Beth.

We are confident that she will make a full recovery and look forward to having her home in Australia.

Our thoughts are with Georgia, we were at the Pac Rim when this injury happened, as a mother my heart just wanted to run out there and be with her. We wish her the best recovery. Her team was amazing and their ability to continue on with such grace for Australia after her injury was amazing to see. Good luck, we wish you all the best! Gym Elite, Tumwater, WA

Everyone who was in Everett Washington last night was astonished at the grace shown by Georgia during the injury... a true professional. Hearts stopped in the entire arena when it happened. Glad she is in Everett at one of the top award winning hospitals in the US!

My heart goes out to her and her family! We were there last night and it was horrible to see. Like another person said I wanted to run out there and hold her. She was well taken care of and the hospital was very close.

She was so calm throughout it all, you could see how strong she was. Her teammates steped up and did beautifully. Heal well Georgia, we're all thinking about you!!

What?? Noooo! What happened? I very much enjoyed watching her at the American cup, what a special athlete she is, what great musicality and magic there was in her movements.

Please Georgia, don't let this break your spirit, stay hungry and believe!!

I am devastated to hear the news of Georgia's injury. I've been following this young lady and all of the WAIS gymnasts for years and after the tragedy and adversities she's been through in her short life I thought that this was finally going to be her year to shine.
Get well soon Georgia. I'm sure all of WA's thoughts and prayers are with you. Praying that you can recover quickly and by some miracle you can keep that Olympic Dream alive x

Get well soon. :) I am sorry about you getting hurt about four months before the Olympics Games. Maybe in four years we see you at 2016 Olympics.

Georgia, I am so sorry to hear of your injury. I too severely dislocated my ankle on a bar dismount which also required surgery. I know it is a devestating injury but don't give up. Within 3 months I was tumbling again. Therapy these days is truely amazing. You will be great again and sooner than you think. Stay strong and good luck with your recovery! You are a beautiful gymnast and I can't wait to see you out there again showing the world what you can do! Please hang in there and don't give up!
