After some great gymnastics action in Sydney, it's Perth's time to shine!
The Dreamlight Perth International Challenge takes place this weekend (25th and 27th), a tri-meet against New Zealand and South Africa featuring junior international gymnasts.
Sponsored by the acclaimed sportswear company, the event looks to be a super exciting one for spectators of all ages. There will be prizes and a photo booth to have fun with, plus a signature session with current Senior International gymnasts alongside a few of the competitors who have been taking part.
Olivia Vivian will once again play 'roving reporter' at the competition, and the great news is that live quick hits will be available courtesy of Nikky Smith (ex-National Level 10 WA) and Eloise Valli (National Level 10 WA) on the GWA Facebook page for both days of the competition.
If you are still to book tickets, follow the link above. GWA have further information on their page.

Article on TCG mentions Olivia Vivian and Larrissa Miller are training with attending Worlds in mind. Anyone know about Emily Little? We know Lauren is resting up in prep for Comm games, just haven't heard about EL.
(sorry to hijack thread...didn't know where else to write!)
Well, you could have commented on the TCG article itself... There is a comments section. ;-)
I've tried commenting there before but for some reason, my comments never show up!
As far as I know comments have to be approved by the blogger on TCG so they don't show up straight away. If your comments don't show up it all it might be because you post personal questions about things that are not your business designed to create gossip. Just maybe.
If asking if how Emily Little is going with training is personal or gossipy then I apologise.
Good luck to the gymnasts taking part in the Dreamlight challenge!
Hello, just to clear things up. I only reject comments that are nasty or say negative things about gymnasts/coaches etc. So if you were jst asking about Em Little, it would not have been rejected. Must be a technological issue. Often people come her and talk about articles I have written. It doesn't bother me- this is the Aussie space after all! I thought Mez might link to my interview, then you'd have a place to talk about it, but she maybe didn't want to for whatever reason.
The Couch Gymnast
nDear Couch Gymnast,
Your board is very much respected, unlike some boards that do not monitor the horrible comments that are sometimes allowed to fester. Allowing these nasty, often untrue and slanderous comments to be posted by totally anonymous, vindictive & often uninformed posters, is irresponsible, I believe. I know, freedom of speech and all of that, but some of the awful things I have read on this board are just downright mean. Some comments here are personal and very hurtful to those who read it. Just ask yourself if you would want random posters writing these things about you or a member of your family. What ever happened to one's integrity? Have we lost our compassion for one another? Besides, everyone of these "anonymous" posters can be traced back to the original source of where it was written & who wrote it. Once you write it, you can't take it back, it is forever. Just remember that. It is not difficult to track the source. I know for sure, that one person, who seems to be a favorite of AGB to bash, has been informed & does know exactly who has written about them, but has chosen to not react, for the moment. There are some judges who have written awful things about gymnasts and coaches. If those names get out, that is the end of thier judging career. Same with some coaches who have written on here, their career could be at stake.
Couch Gymnast, thank you for your good work and positive, informative and useful board. It is appreciated.

(I know, I am posting anonymously, but I am not trying to be an expert or insulting anyone either.)
On a different note, are there any Aussie ex gymnasts we can see in Cirques OVO in Melbourne?
I don't think there are any Aussies in Ovo, or at least not that I found in the program.
I saw it a couple of weeks ago and it was AMAZING. Everyone should see it.
