Happy Birthday Lauren!

Here is video Lauren and Ash talking about training etc. I will admit to being a total fan, my general gym knowledge it minimal at best, and i had no idea of the significance of the difference between the equipment being on the ground to being on a podium. So that was interesting to hear.

Happy 21st Lozza!!!!!!

Will the girls get to practice on the podium before the actual competition starts? I hope podium training will be made available to them.

A USA gym fan wrote the following as part of their 'olympic wishlist' on the couch gymnast's website...

'To see the Aussies have their moment in the sun. In my opinion, no one works so hard for so little recognition as Liddick’s crew does, year in and year out.'

Amen to that!

I believe podium training is tomorrow, and i would imagine podium training is considered part of all competitions?

And agree, love the comment from that USA gym fan!

I was really pleased to see how well the Australian girls rated in the listings that The All Around has up at the moment. Not just Lauren Mitchell, but also Ash and MaryAnne. I'm so sad that MaryAnne is a reserve. I really wanted her to have the chance to compete.

I hope they all get their moment in the sun too. It would be fabulous for them as a team, but also fabulous for the sport itself. (More funding?)

apparently the practice gym (or whatever it is called) is pink!! Peggy was stated as saying 'it doesn't bother us!' I really hope the australians won't be in pink leos for the compeition!!

Just as long as it's not that hot pink and orange spew fest! I'd be hugely surprised if they didn't a traditional green and gold leo, and with swirls of course ;)

It's amazing that Lauren is only just 21. She seems to have been around forever. She's still young enough to go for Rio
