Big Hearts, Strong Feet

Congratulations and pats on the back to Waverley seniors Shona Morgan, Emma Dennis and Georgia Bonora who all participated in the annual 'Run for the Kids' fundraiser on Sunday.

The trio completed the 5.2km course as part of Team 100k that raised over $500,000 for the Royal Children's Hospital.

Friends 'til the very end, all three clocked in at 1 hour, 2 minutes, 31 seconds.

Yep, I have become a Facebook junkie. All I wanted to do was select 'like', but I can't. :-)

Well done gymbies for raising money for such a good cause.

will all 3 of the waverley girls be trialling for the Pacific Rim and Commonwealth competition?

1 Hour for 5km? Were they walking? Not that it matters, a good cause is a good cause.

I think it's a pretty open event, in so far as it allows Sprinting, Jogging, Walking, Dawdling, Meandering and Photo-posing For The Kids.

I think that the GA website said earlier that they would be walking. I'm a pretty hopeless runner and I get through 5km in 26 mins so it was definitely a walk!
Probably no need for them to push through on a fundraiser- they can save that for trials!

I believe they were being overtaken by women with prams!
