does anyone know if Naomi ever trained or competed a double twisting yurchenko?

I think July will be too soon for her to be selected for Commonwealths but if she could do a double twisting yurchenko and the second best bar routine after Larrissa Miller by September then it would be impossible to leave her off the worlds team.

Would that even be realistic for her by then though? I don't know much about the type of build up and time period that would require.

I'm really lovin' the pink. I think Australia had pink and purple for so long, it's kind of become OUR colour (Yes, Nastia, we let you borrow pink to win the AA in Beijing because we love you).

Looks like a great day, Mez and Froggy. Really nice shots.

BTW, I live in Melbourne and there was not a single hail stone down my way (inner South) on Saturday. Not one!

A little bit off topic.. but still an insight into whats going on inside WAIS. On the GA website "A Celebration of Women's Gymnastics In Perth" A beautiful photographic book detailing WAIS High Fliers is being produced...

I so want it! It costs $130 though which is kinda pricey, and you only have 10 days to get your orders in. They should have been advertising it a month ago, as giving people less than 2 weeks notice is way too small.

It is an absolutely spectacular collection of photos. I highly recommend anyone interested in gymnastics and especially gymnastics photography purchase one. There are photos of all the girls in the program with more photos of the older girls. Mostly taken in the gym during training it really gives a stunning insight into elite gymnastics training.

I think it is nice to have something with Aussie gymnasts, and it would be good to look back on years from now. I hope other HPC programs/ clubs think of doing this on anniversaries or special occasions because it is a lovely keepsake with appeal to fans of elite gymnastics as well as parents/friends.
