2009 Nationals: AA Post Mortem

GA article with quotes from Lauren is here.

The West has a short piece on Emily and Lauren here.

VicGym's blog has a brief look at what it was like to be an athlete at the event.

Photo of our junior national champ and mini-ginger ninja Emma Collister (she of the double arabian) with Georgia Wheeler on the medal podium:

Sister Rachel wore the Waverley club leotard and was thrilled for her sister to win.

The WAIS coaching team again won Coaching Team of the Year (clearly with strawberry and moondust hug tactics). Emily Little lightened the mood - hers, as well as the audience's - by straightening up Vlad Joura's tracksuit collar when it was time for a group photo. Cute.

Gracious in defeat. But you still wanna hug her and tell her it's all okay.

"Pull My Finger" joke: Neeever gets old.

Can someone PLEASE tell me what some of the gymnasts used as their FX music. Especially the Victorians. Thanks :)

Great photos, Nade.
Thanks for all the blog updates, Mezamatic!

Well, Anon, you'd best look for routines from the Victorian championships or trials as the routines would be the same as Nats (and they're already up on YouTube, we're patiently waiting for the Perth visitors to return home and upload). Whose music are you after specifically?

Thanks alot Mez and thanks for keeping us all informed. I don't know what I'd do without your blog. I'm after Britt Greeley's Fiona Coley's, Tierra Exums and Emma Collister's in particular plus anyone else's from nationals that you may know of. Thanks so much. (ps...I had a quick look on youtube but there's not mention of song names on there)

Tierra has been using "Ojos Asi", which Steph Moorhouse used to use.

Britt uses the hip-hop song "Remember the Name".

Fiona uses a variation of Elyse Hopfner-Hibbs' music, which *I think* is called "Gitaras". I might actually be mixing it up with something else, though...

Someone was using Nastia's 2005 floor music too I'm pretty sure. I can't remember who, but I think possibly a junior Vicotrian
