Okay, so being the ditz that I am, I had no idea what a Ranga was! Then, I was on the tram the other day, and this guys was stirring this red haired girl, teling her that no Rangas had ever made it in sport (i am not sure if he meant a particular sport or any. I felt like piping up and naming redheaded gymnasts!) Anyway, then he said something about her heair and i was like "That's what she was talking about!" I've always called them Gingers- not as in "jinjer" but as in gingah! See Mez, you've taught me so much!!

"No redheads ever made it in sport"? Clearly they didn't watch the Olympics last year when both Steve Hooker and Sally McLellan medalled.
And there are plenty of ginger AFL players out there, too, who would dispute his frame of mind...
Glad to be inadvertantly educating you :)
