Pacific Rim News: Things That Go Bump-In

Ooooh, I gots me some tingles!

In other good news, Emma Dennis was spotted last week helping the 2010 Commonwealth Games torch on its international journey!

In quite sad news, Team Australia MAG has been dealt yet another blow. Sam Simpson has had to withdraw from Pacific Rim due to injury. He will be replaced by Luke Wadsworth.

There is some mention about the comp being shown on One HD -- I hope it's true!

Mez - if you get there, and get to the Rhythmic - could you yell loud for me in support of the NZL senior group? They're from my daughters' club, and one was my youngest's coach last year - Katie Price.
Thanks for the updates!

Hi Kathryn,

I only have a members pass for Hisense (artistic) so I don't think I'm able to get into the SNHHC. However, I'm definitely keeping my eyes out for any and all gymnasts around the arenas and also in the city. Anyone in a team trackie is bound to fall within my radar!

Hi Mez - Love the blog, keep up the good work. My daughter and I are coming over as part of the NZL supporters contingent - you'll probably spot us in our silver fern tees so please say "gidday!".

No worries! I'd love a happy snap, too, if that's alright with you!

I'm a sucker for photographic mementos...

Hi Mez,

Keep your eyes (and ears) out for the MLC gymnasts in the stands cheering the Aussies on! We'll be there Friday night and Sunday.

Just spent my whole day oogling at podium training...

Some notes...

USA look unstoppable.
Marta has a new little fave in Kyla Ross who did some beaut bar work.
Bross and Sloan struggled on bars - but their difficulty is amazing - if they hit (and I suspect they will) they will be unbeatable.
Team AUS and team CAN had solid, solid training and the Chinese and Russians looked superb. Oh China on beam - sigh!
The junior Russians are the smallest girls in the arena bar one miniature Chinese girl. They all seemed pretty happy around Hisense today!
