Reminder Notices

If you missed Lauren Mitchell's appearance on SEN radio, follow the link here to listen again.

I believe voting for the Sports Performer Awards closed today so good luck to Lauren! She had a lot of people vote!

I should also give a shout-out to the Australian Under-19 Men's Synchronised Trampoline team who, like Lauren , won a silver medal at their world championships! Well done to Shaun Swadling and Aidan Thomas for their fantastic achievement.

GA have listed the Australia vs Japan WAG team going head-to-head during National Clubs next week:

Georgia B, Britt, Fiona, Larrissa, Emily L, and Lauren.
Georgia W and Georgia S are reserves.

Nice to see some trampoline news on your blog!

Aiden (NSW) and Shaun (NSW) have had a fantastic year in 2009 both as a synchro pair and individually. Their finals routine was excellent, with beautiful execution and synchronization - a very well deserved medal!

Congratulations also goes to Lilly O'Donoghue-Scarce (QLD) who won the Bronze medal in the under 13 girls Double Mini Trampoline last night.

I was really hoping that some tumblers would get up there to stick to to GA who is removing tumbling from the nationals program as of next year. Apparently its not worth it anymore to have nationals for those kids probably because its harder to get a venue that houses the long strip. Not a good enough excuse if you ask me, there are tumblers that have been working for years who will now have nothing in Australia to work for. Ridiculous move GA

The tumblers did really well...all in the top 20 for their respective ages. There is a large group of people in tramp sports fighting to keep tumbing...we just have to keep the tumbling numbers and try and grow the sport. There are several new initives for next year that should hopefully encourage more kids to get involved in tumbling and make a transition from WAG or MAG easier. The trampoline community needs to get behind tumbling so that it is only abscent from nationals for 2010.

More congratulations: this time to Riley Glazebrook and Patty Cooper who picked up silver in the mens U17 synchro last night.
What a brilliant way to finish a fantastic 2009 World Age Games from Australia!
